Botox®
The use of neurotoxins (Botox® , Dysport® , and Xeomin®) relax overactive muscles, decreasing lines and wrinkles. By understanding the use of opposing muscles, neurotoxins can lift the brow or corners of the mouth to enhance their appearance. The use of neurotoxins can also help with headaches and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). With my experience, I tailor the use of neurotoxins to the individual using the least amount to obtain a great natural looking result.
Fillers
Fillers are used to replace volume and sculpt the face. As we age we lose volume in the upper face causing the lower face to appear heavier (jowling, nasal labial folds). Fillers are also used to add volume and shape to lips and chin creating a fuller natural looking result. There are various fillers to choose from depending on the desired result and area of the face in which they are used. There are also collagen stimulators such as Scultptra, which take longer to see results but promote the stimulation of your own collagen to achieve the desired result. I find a combination of various fillers are needed to achieve the most natural look. I focus on filler properties, safety of the product, and cost to get the best result for patients.
Microneedling
Microneedling is one of my favorite treatments. It accomplishes so many things to enhance your skin and shape of your face. With little down time, microneedling decreases pore size, tightens, builds collagen, pulls up tissue, helps with brown and red discoloration, and decreases acne and other scarring. It can be safely used on any skin color in any area. I use microneedling on the face, neck, chest (for those unwanted crinkles), hands, even arms and legs.
Medical Grade Peels
Medical grade peels using TCA can have some downtime depending on the strength used. For a light peel to remove dead skin cells, the downtime is 3 days. Deeper peels have a downtime of 7-10 days. Peels accomplish exfoliation, brightening of the skin, decrease in pigmentation, and collagen production and tightening.
Skin Care
The use of medical-grade skin care products results in more youthful looking healthier skin. I have products formulated for pigmentation, collagen building, and exfoliation. The products I recommend are cutting edge in terms of their ability to create new skin cells, decrease lines, hydrate, and build collagen. Skin care is important to enhance all the other treatments provided in my practice.
